Interesting morning. At training classes for my business and made a pit stop at the little generals room. Along the top of this wall is a row of tile with metal bead on top. Met the janitor, happy sort, cleaning the bead all around this large LGR. He greeted me and thanked me for staying at this hotel. Then he went on to tell me how important it was to keep a clean restroom. “The most important thing is this has to be cleaned with excellence”. On heading back into the meeting I listened to some of my fellow agents complaining about changes we needed to incorporate into our business models. No speaking of excellence. I again determined to not whine about this business I have been blessed to serve in for 44 years but “the most important thing is to clean this with excellence “. True story.

Somewhat interesting day. Sitting in classes today in Dallas, with a variety of speakers that include economists, data sources, and even government and former government dignitaries. One of the most intriguing tidbits gained: "90% of all data in the worlds was generated in the last 2 yrs; it keeps doubling every 2 yrs; 2.5 quintillion (didn't know there was a number like this) bytes every day; expected to reach 20-30 billion devices connected to internet by 2020." so... listening during lunch to see what could be so important as to demand this much 'space' I was impressed to find out: "well... you just tell him you deserve that and if he dont like it then dont let the door hit you where the good Lord split ya" "No, you didnt?! You didn't...ha ha ha". Thank God we now have this 'space' so these conversations and data exchanges are possible! HA!

REOMAC 2016- One of my favorite sessions annually is Christopher Thornberg of Beacon Economics give his economic report. Many questions addressed from oil-to-housing, and here is his take. MYTH: Hearing how the low oil price is hurting our economy and costing jobs? TRUTH: 1st, i like the lower prices and now get tweaked with i pay over $2.00p/g. 2nd, more jobs created in oil related industry but they are in the refining sector, not the development sector. 3rd, consumer spending is up due to the savings at the pump. Car sales had the biggest number of sales ever of American made cars. And of course, if automotive is moving then they will bring additional ancillary jobs, parts, tires, etc etc. AGREE? DISAGREE? What's your take?
