September’s jobs report came in much weaker than expected, with the economy adding just 29,000 jobs versus forecasts of about 90,000. Payroll estimates for July and August were also revised lower by a combined 60,000 jobs, while the unemployment rate rose from 4.1% to 4.2%.

For buyers, it means more room to ask for a lower price, help with closing costs, repairs after inspection, or a combination of all 3. For Sellers, that means pricing it right from day 1 is your best bet. A little flexibility can get your house picked over another vs. sitting for weeks.
