Yesterday, we kicked off the 2026-27 version of our Junior Board of Directors program at Mid County Community Building in Baron. This year's board consists of 47 high school seniors from Stilwell, Keys, Watts, Tahlequah, and Westville. After a warm-up game of Networking Bingo and an overview of the program by Junior Board Coordinator Jim Grooms, meeting attendees were treated to a great meal of Italian food catered by The Somethin' Sweet in Stilwell. We closed the evening with a dynamic and interactive talk on developing leadership qualities led by Caleb Swank, who is a former Jr Board member himself.

Four members of the CCB team, Brant Caton, Kristy Chastain, Robbin Hampton, and Savanah Proctor, had the opportunity to attend Fiserv's annual Client Conference for Financial Leaders held last week in The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. More than 4,000 professionals and leaders across banking, fintech, payments, and commerce were in attendance this year. The focus of the conference included topics such as merging financial innovations, customer experience evolution, AI, embedded finance, cybersecurity, and fraud prevention.

The employees of Carson Community Bank are excited to be hosting a supply drive for local 5th grade teachers. Now through Friday, August 28, stop by one of our locations and pick an "Apple" from the Apple Tree. The Apples will have a list of supply items requested by a teacher. Much like a Christmas Angel Tree, simply purchase the item(s) and return them to one of our locations, and we will deliver the supplies to our local teachers for use in the classroom this year.

We wrapped up the 2026 version of our annual Back-to-School Roadshow with breakfast at ICTC bright and early Wednesday morning. In addition to a great breakfast catered by Okie Joe's, we handed out some CCB merch and gave away a $50 gift card. Representing the bank were Kristy Chastain, Casey Brown, and Jim Grooms.
