Here’s what we do know, people who retire comfortably often live on 60 to 80 percent of their pre-retirement income.

Start saving as soon as you start earning an income. The goal is at least 5% of your salary should go to savings.

Keeping your score at or above 740 will ensure you are eligible for future credit and get you competitive rates. Scores range from 300-850. Anything above 700 is considered good. Most credit scores fall between 600 and 750.

The rankings go as follows:

300-579 is very poor

580-669 is fair
