My introduction to handling money wisely started from a young age when trips to the grocery store doubled as opportunities to practi

ce math skills and learn about alternative choices. My lessons continued in my teen years as I learned to manage the money I started making. Although my teen self may not have appreciated it, I was taught to file my own taxes. Soon I started to learn about best options to start saving early for retirement. I am so thankful now that the importance of financial literacy was ingrained me. It ultimately led me to continue my financial study so I can help others plan to meet their needs and achieve their dreams as a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones. I am proud to be a Lancaster County native. Growing up in this area of PA taught me a lot about great community. I graduated from Conestoga Valley in 2000 before earning my BS in Math from Virginia Tech in 2004 and returning to Lancaster. I spent the next 18 years teaching high school math, during which I earned by Master’s from Millersville in 2011. Over my years teaching math to teens, one thing I always wished for was more of a focus on financial education. This is another important reason why I became a financial advisor. In this role I educate people about how to best utilize their money while providing first class service. This allows people to invest toward whatever experiences and causes matter most to them. In addition to introducing myself, I’d like to introduce you to a very valued member of my team. Branch Office Administrator Charmaine Yeagley joined Edward Jones in 2023. She is a lifelong Lebanon County resident who has a passion for deeply serving our clients. Do you have children in your life whose education you want to save for? It was a little rainy, but the Sunnyside Guided Hike this morning led by Diana Martin of Partners for Environmental Stewardship and Keith of Lancaster Conservancy was phenomenal. We learned all about the significant history and different uses of the area as well as the plans to revitalize the habitat and make it a place where folks can enjoy nature on the outskirts of Lancaster City. I am so excited!

The past 24 hours has had 3 amazing networking experiences packed into it. I continue to be impressed with the movers and shakers in this Lancaster community!

1) Thursday afternoon the Lancaster Stormers invited the community to network in their Sillverball Retro Aracade. Thank you to Mike Reynolds, Nathan Rovenolt, Kendra Groff, Nathan Statler, Rebecca Kaminskas, Silo, and the rest of the crew for hosting us. Amongst other connections, I had the pleasure of getting to know Katharine Costlow and Nichole Baer of RKG Law.

2) Friday morning Northern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce had a special welcome to Gracie's on West Main when they opened an hour early to have us. It was wonderful sitting and conversing with Nathan Yunginger & Dustin Miller of Bumpers Etc. Auto Collision Services as well as Matthew Turman of Susquehanna Insurance.

3) Friday's 2nd breakfast was with ProWo, a wonderful bunch of business women. We had the pleasure of hearing from Ashton Smith of Smith OT Solutions and how she helps empower parents with the skills and perspective they need to help their child(ren) succeed. Then we learned a lot from Sarah Partin Martinez of MarveLoans about how she helps buyers navigate the financial aspects of buying their next home.
