Exclusion of Certain Davis-Bacon Wages from the Determination of Workers’ Compensation Premium

The Massachusetts Division of Insurance has approved the WCRIBMA’s filing to amend Rule V – Premium Basis of the Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation and Employers Liability Insurance Manual so that certain Davis-Bacon employer contributions to third party pension trusts will no longer be included as remuneration for purposes of determining workers’ compensation premium.

These changes are applicable to new and renewal policies effective on or after 12:01 A.M., March 1, 2013.
