Today as we recognize Administrative Professionals, we recognize these two incredible women whose dedication and hard work help keep the Contemporary Longrifle Association strong and thriving, Katie, Administrator, (left) and Rachel, Executive Director (right). Their behind-the-scenes commitment plays a vital role in preserving the mission, values, and spirit of the CLA while keeping members connected, supported, and proud to belong.
Rachel has been with the CLA since the very beginning, helping guide the organization through years of growth with steady leadership, vision, and unwavering dedication. Her years of service have helped shape the CLA into the respected, welcoming, and close-knit community it is today. Through changing times, Rachel has remained a constant source of strength and guidance, always working to move the organization forward while honoring its traditions.
Katie has been an important part of the CLA since 2017, bringing enthusiasm, organization, and heart to everything she does. Her dedication, professionalism, and positive spirit have made a lasting impact on both the organization and its members. Her willingness to step in wherever needed never goes unnoticed.
When asked what the CLA means to them, they both agreed it represents community, tradition, and preserving a unique piece of American history. They are proud to support an organization that brings together artisans, collectors, historians, and enthusiasts who share a passion for heritage. The CLA is more than an association, it is a family built on friendships, education, and a shared love of the longrifle.
Rachel also serves full time as the Executive Director of an ambulance company, balancing two leadership roles with grace and dedication. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her husband John, their dog Marley, and family. Katie enjoys spending time with loved ones and serving roles for the Shenandoah Valley Knife Collectors.
