A new semester means new classes, new routines… and probably a few new expenses, too. A little planning now can make your money stretch a lot further throughout the semester. Create a budget, take advantage of student discounts, watch those subscriptions, and remember: you don’t have to spend a lot to have a great college experience.

Keeping money accessible for everyday needs and emergencies is important. But if you have more cash sitting in low-earning accounts than you need, it may be worth reviewing whether some of it could be working harder toward your long-term goals.
