Scammers are texting debit card holders as a representitive of Shazam and pretending to verify debit‑card activity. Here’s how to spot the difference:

✔ What Shazam WILL do:
Send legit fraud texts from 72718
Call to verify suspicious transactions
Leave a voicemail and try again the next business day
Ask verification questions only when YOU call them using the number on your debit card

❌ What Shazam will NEVER do:
Ask for your PIN, account number, SSN, or a text code
Ask for personal info by phone, text, or email
Pressure you to act immediately
Send links or attachments to “fix” an issue
If you get a suspicious call or text claiming to be Shazam, hang up and give us a call. Stay safe and share to warn others!
