There are some days you remember exactly where you were.

September 11, 2001, is one of them.

The details of that morning are forever etched into our country’s story.

But what we remember isn’t only the tragedy. We remember what happened in the moments after.
People helping each other. First responders running in as everyone else was running out. Strangers refusing to leave one another behind.

In the middle of fear and heartbreak, we saw courage. We saw sacrifice. We saw people put someone else’s life before their own. And God was there in the midst of it all.
We saw something that we still believe deeply today: community matters.

Even in the darkest moments, we hold tight to our faith—that God has not abandoned us.
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5

Today, we remember those we lost, those who ran toward danger, and the families who continue to carry their memory.

Never forget. Always grateful.
