My name is Rachel, I️ have a passion for helping others and love what I️ do!
Born and raised in Mount Laurel, NJ. I️ come from a very big, typical, New-Jersian family! I️ have so many cousins who all grew up on the same street. Man hunt was our game of choice as kids and now we get the pleasure of bringing our babies together for the same memories!❤️ The bottom left photo is not all but a good chunk of my cousins and the photo to the right is all of our children (which has grown substantially) who now get to grow up together.
My father had a passion for racing, as did my uncles. Which meant myself, my sister and my cousins would all race junior dragsters. Every weekend our family would head to the racetrack, until eventually soccer took over my life. 🏎️⚽️
Soccer led me to Old Dominion University where I️ played as a division 1 athlete and graduated in 2017 with my Bachelors in Elementary Education.
I️ joined Alpha Xi Delta during my time at ODU. Joining a sisterhood with a philanthropy like Autism Speaks (now Kindly Hearts Campaign supporting foster care and homelessness) fueled my heart. I️ was able to build relationships that will last a lifetime all while giving back to my community. 💙💛
I️ met my husband at ODU in 2016; his fraternity, Kappa Sigma, was Alpha Xi’s “brother fraternity” so we got to know eachother very well. In 2019 we tied the knot and I went from Miss. Johnson to Mrs. Lane 🥰
I️ have always had a passion for helping people. During my first year of teaching, I️ had an experience that changed the trajectory of my life forever. Witnessing bullying and then doing everything you can to make sure that doesn’t happen, just to be failed by the system. As a teacher you are limited in your ability to help these kids. So I️ left and pursued a career I️ could actually give back and make a difference. As a State Farm Agent, the impact I can make on my community is endless. The little boy in the bottom photos has no idea how much he has changed my life for the better. ❤️ I️ thank god he was placed in my life at the exact moment I️ needed him and vice versa.
Leaving education I joined the insurance world. In 2018 Pierre Granger, Agent in Virginia Beach, took a chance on me. No knowledge, no experience, just a dream and a lot of hustle. He saw that in me when I didn’t see it myself. In August of 2020 I opened the doors to Rachel Johnson State Farm, during the national pandemic. Fearful of my success during this uncertain time, I’d come to find out, my community was willing to take a chance on me too.
The last 5 years have been the most incredible and challenging, yet rewarding 5 years of my life. And truthfully, the most transformative.Thank you to my community for keeping me going!
In 2022 my husband Dylan and I welcomed our first boy, Nashdyn. In 2025 we welcomed our 2nd son, Weston. Nash is my sweetheart and Wes is my sour patch and they literally keep my heart beating. When the days feel too hard, a hug from them makes it seem so much more manageable.
We are animal people here!!! We have two dogs, Moose, who is our black lab and Dot, who is our foster fail mutt. 😅 Stop by the office any time and snag some dog treats for your pups, even better, bring them in too! 🐶🐾
My family calls Fredericksburg home 🌳🏡 we love downtown and consider ourselves the “regulars” of a few of our favorite go-to spots since we’re known by the staff now;

I have a passion for embroidery and created a craft room at home this year to really dive deep and refine my skills! I also use it as a creative outlet and de-stressor (however being a perfectionist really makes that difficult lol). Open to all advice, tips and tricks! Here are just two photos of some of my work, I love making cute designs for my boys!
