Who Is Eligible for Medicare?
You are eligible for Medicare Part A and Part B at age 65 if:

1. You are a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident who has lived in the U.S. for five continuous years

2. You or your spouse have worked long enough to be eligible for Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits

3. You or your spouse are government employees or retirees who have not paid into Social Security but have paid Medicare payroll taxes

Not Sure about your Medicare Advantage Plan?

You can make changes during Open Enrollment Period (OEP)From January 1 - March 31,2021 individuals enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan can make one change between Medicare Advantage plans or switch from a Medicare Advantage plan to Original Medicare only. You may still need to go through medical underwriting to qualify for a Medigap Plan. If you do this, you will be eligible to join a Part D Prescription Drug Plan.
Changing plans during this time is not required.
