Every year, insurance carriers make changes to where they offer coverage — and sometimes, that means they pull out of certain states entirely.
For example, Aetna recently announced they’re pulling out of Missouri for 2026. That means anyone currently enrolled in an Aetna plan through the Marketplace will need to choose a new plan during open enrollment, or they could risk losing coverage altogether.
Even if your carrier isn’t leaving, your plan might still change — networks, deductibles, and prescription coverage often shift year to year.
💡 Tip: Don’t assume last year’s plan will work the same next year. Take a few minutes to review your options early so you don’t get caught off guard.
