🔑 1-0 Buydown: Payments calculated at 1 percentage point below your loan’s fixed rate for the first year.

🔑 2-1 Buydown: Payments calculated at 2 percentage points below your loan’s fixed rate in year one and 1 percentage point below it in year two.

The seller funds the payment savings at closing, subject to contribution limits and program availability. Your actual fixed interest rate stays the same, and you must qualify for the full payment, which takes effect when the buydown ends. Taxes and insurance are separate.
