The Wellington Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for building maintenance and upkeep. Hourly pay for this opportunity is dependent on skill and experience. Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
• Install and perform HVAC maintenance
• Fixture installation (i.e. ceiling fixtures and lighting)
• Basic plumbing and electrical skills
• Work daily with property manager to complete work orders
• Keep up-to-date records of supplies
• Make apartments ready for occupancy
• Keep work shop clean and organized
• Coordinate repairs with outside vendors
• Prepare list of supplies to order weekly with the manager
• Basic knowledge of swimming pool operations
• On-call maintenance when needed

The Wellington Group is seeking a full-time Finish Carpenter with the skills to rehab and enhance our properties inside and out. We are looking for someone who has the ability to take apart a home put it back together. Responsibilities will include but not limited to repairing/rehabbing vacant and occupied apartments, common areas, and building out office spaces. We consistently have a steady workflow of multiple renovation projects going on throughout the year. This position will also assist the rest of the staff, as directed, in their efforts to manage the property in an efficient manner. This candidate should be comfortable accurately estimating labor and material costs. Must be reliable, punctual and honest. We offer a great work environment for someone who is looking to be a part of a family-oriented, stable company!

Responsibilities

• Install items such as cabinets, counters, windows, and base board required for rehab projects
• Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and door frames
• Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
• Conduct all business in accordance with Company policies and procedures, state and federal laws; e.g., OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc.
• Completes special projects or additional duties as assigned
• Must be able to lift or move heavy objects such as appliances, cabinets, doors etc.

Skills
• Familiarity with reading and understanding blueprint drawings and building plans
• General plumbing and electric knowledge
• Overall knowledge of construction procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledgeable in the use of various construction equipment
• Ability to follow instructions and complete each project on-schedule and on-budget
• Ability to work well with other professionals, such as painters and maintenance technicians

Due to these unprecedented times, we have made some changes in the way we will be showing our units. You are still able to schedule an appointment to view our model unit, but we will not be physically walking with you for the tour at this time. After we get a copy of your photo ID, we will arrange a time that works best for you and we will unlock/lock the unit for your allotted time slot. This will make it possible to show our units while also practicing social distancing. You can also find virtual tours of our units on our apartments.com pages.

There are two ways that you can apply for one of our apartments during this time.
1. Physical Application: Download our application Here. You can then print it, fill it out and scan it back to the manager. If you choose this way to apply, you will have to drop off your fees at the office.
2. Online Application: Call the manager to give them your name and email address. They will then send you an email with a link to an application in which you can fill out and submit online and pay for your fees with a credit card. Look for an email from the Wellington Group with the subject line “Invitation for Online Leasing Login.”
