Bear vs bull markets. What does it mean, and how should you approach your savings and investment strategy during these time frames?

A bear market is a period of declining prices, generally defined as a 20% or more decline from recent highs. During a bear market, investors are more cautious about the economy and likely will sell their investments, leading to further price declines.
