💬 Community Feedback Needed!

I’ve been thinking about hosting a Family Financial Planning Event right here in our community — something practical, welcoming, and truly helpful for families at every stage.

Before I move forward, I’d love your input.

👉 Would you attend an event like this?
Held at your local school, at a convenient time, and focused on real‑life topics families ask about every day:

• How retirement accounts actually work — and how to use them through your workplace
• How much life insurance is really enough
• Smart, realistic strategies to save for college
• And other key parts of building a strong financial foundation for your family

Your feedback matters. Yes or no — and why?
What would make an event like this valuable for you?

I want this to be something that supports our community, meets families where they are, and gives clear, judgment‑free guidance.

Holistic Planning: The Five Pillars That Build a Strong Financial Life

Life doesn’t move in a straight line—our finances shouldn’t either. A truly holistic plan looks at every part of your financial world and how they work together, so you can move confidently through every season.

The five key aspects of holistic planning remind us that a strong financial strategy isn’t just about numbers on a page. It’s about your family, your goals, your protection, your future income, and the legacy you’re building.

When these pieces align, your plan becomes something powerful—something that supports you through growth, change, and the unexpected.

A trusted advisor doesn’t just manage accounts; they help you connect the dots. They walk with you, step by step, making planning understandable, achievable, and tailored to your life.

If you’re ready to build a plan that supports your whole life—not just one part of it—I’m here to help you get started.

You don’t know what you don’t know — and that’s why these reminders matter.

I recently helped someone who needed to pull money from their Roth IRA. Only after closing the account did they learn some tough truths about early withdrawals. Different accounts have different rules, and misunderstanding them can be costly.

Here’s a quick breakdown:

🔵 Traditional IRA

Before 59½: taxes + 10% penalty (unless an exception applies)

After 59½: taxed, no penalty

RMDs start at 73

🔴 Roth IRA

Contributions: always tax‑ and penalty‑free

Earnings: tax + penalty if withdrawn before 59½ and before the 5‑year rule

After 59½ + 5 years: tax‑free

No RMDs

You don’t know what you don’t know — but you can ask before making a move. I’m here to help you avoid surprises.

What do you think is the hardest part about starting or committing to a financial review?

Is it feeling intimidated by the process?
Worried about what it might cost?
Not feeling like you “have enough” to even begin?
Or is it that familiar roadblock of, “I’ll try to figure it out myself first… and then ask a professional later”?

I hear these concerns every day, and you’re not alone.
I’m genuinely curious — what holds people back the most?

Your insight helps me better serve families in our community, and it might help someone else feel a little less nervous about taking that first step.

Business owners — if your company is growing, hiring help, and becoming more established, this is your reminder.

If you haven’t started the retirement‑plan conversation with your CPA yet, now is the perfect time to bring a financial advisor into the mix. As your business evolves, your retirement strategy should evolve with it.

A good advisor helps you:

Align your retirement plan with your current business structure

Build long‑term strategies that support your future goals

Explore different retirement account options (SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, Solo 401(k), traditional 401(k), etc.)

Understand benefits not just for you, but for your employees as well

When your business grows, your financial planning needs to grow with it — and you shouldn’t have to figure it out alone.

If you’re ready to build a plan that supports both your business and your future, I’m here to help.

Long‑Term Care Has Evolved — And Today, It Can Fit a Multitude of Needs

Long‑term care isn’t what it used to be. Years ago, people thought of LTC as a single path — a nursing home and nothing more.
But today, long‑term care has expanded, modernized, and become far more flexible.

And with the increasing need for care and the rising costs associated with aging, having a plan that adapts with you is more important than ever.

Modern LTC planning can include:
• In‑home care that supports independence and comfort
• Facility‑based care when more structure or medical support is needed
• Flexible payment options designed to fit different budgets
• Customizable benefit structures that evolve as your needs change over time

Here’s the reality:
As we age, our care needs shift — sometimes gradually, sometimes suddenly. And if your financial plan doesn’t address life insurance or long‑term care benefits, it has a gap. A meaningful one.

Talking through these options with a trusted advisor ensures your plan is complete, intentional, and ready for whatever life brings.

If you’d like to explore how modern LTC fits into your long‑term strategy, I’m here to help you make sense of it all.

When is the right time to start thinking about retirement?
The truth is… it depends on where you work and how your benefits are structured. For some careers, retirement conversations can begin as early as age 50. Others may look closer to 60, and many wait until full retirement age to make their final decisions.

But no matter your timeline, the best time to start planning is before you’re faced with big questions like:

When should I take Social Security?

How does my pension work?

What income will I actually have in retirement?

What steps should I take now to make the transition smoother?

Having an advisor in your corner before you make those decisions is always better than wishing you had guidance afterward. Retirement is a major life shift — and you deserve clarity, confidence, and a plan that supports your future.

If you’re starting to think about retirement, or you’re unsure where to begin, I’m here to help you map out the right path.

📘 Investing 101: Simple Steps to Start Strong
Investing doesn’t have to be overwhelming. A few core habits can make a huge difference in your long‑term financial confidence.

Start early.
Time is your biggest advantage. Even small, steady contributions grow meaningfully when you give them time to compound.

Know your risk level.
Your comfort matters. Choosing investments that match your personality and timeline helps you stay committed through market ups and downs.

Diversify your portfolio.
A balanced mix of investments protects your plan and reduces risk. Think of it as building a team instead of relying on one player.

Invest consistently.
You don’t need perfect timing — you need steady habits. Regular contributions create momentum and long‑term growth.

Stay focused on your goals.
Markets move daily, but your future is built over years. A clear plan keeps you grounded and confident.

If you’re ready to understand your options or build a plan that fits your family’s goals, I’m here to help.
