I had such a great trip these past two days visiting our Nebraska branches in Lincoln & Omaha!

Our Lincoln branch was finally able to celebrate their "grand opening", and we were able to shoot a lot of videos in our Omaha branch for social media!

It's always so fun getting to spend time with this team.

It's a new year and if your home renovation includes a contractor, here are some tips to get you started.
Be specific with the changes you have in mind, structural and cosmetic changes should be on your list. Include specific brands you plan on using. Do your research, so when you review your bids you already have an idea of how much your materials should cost. And be aware of contractor bids that sound too-good-to-be-true.

Our lenders get this question all the time, and it's a super important one: If you pay down a credit card, how soon will it reflect on your credit score?

Credit accounts don’t report “real time” and the change isn't instant. Credit cards TYPICALLY report every other month and USUALLY on the 8th of the month. So depending on what day the payment is made and when that particular account reports again will determine when it will reflect.

Paying down the account could positively improve a score by up to 30%... BUT closing the account could actually hurt a credit score as longevity is 15% of a person’s overall score.
