General information
FRONTLINE TROUBLESHOOTERS Each IBCO local has complete autonomy, but benefits from unlimited access to knowledgeable IBCO representatives. They are skilled experts in fighting for job security, equitable wages, quality health and retirement benefits, and ensuring a healthy workplace environment. We provide experienced field representatives and skilled labor attorneys to assist our law enforcement professionals in locals across the nation. LEGAL EXPERTISE Unlike most unions, IBCO employs a staff of full-time labor attorneys whose only job is to work with and help our members resolve work-related issues. Our attorneys aren't working on wills, insurance claims, and dog-bite lawsuits-they're working in labor law to assist you. We provide legal services to our members on work-related issues, including arbitration hearings, disciplinary hearings and civil rights lawsuits. A LEADER IN LAW ENFORCEMENT IBCO is a leading voice in the public safety community and a powerful presence on Beacon Hill. With a team of four state lobbyists, we have successfully lobbied for legislation to improve the lives and working conditions of public safety professionals across Massachusetts. We also have strong representation in Washington, D.C. Our union is a charter member of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF), where we have a member on the board of directors, and we belong to the national Law Enforcement Steering Committee (LESC).
