Important Numbers and Facts You Need to Know When Joining the Imperial Credit Union

1. 30
To open an account and become a member, you must deposit at least $30. An administrative fee of $10 is deducted from your first deposit.

Once you are approved as a member you may apply for a loan right away. Approval depends on a credit check.

3. 550
You must have a credit score of 550 to be considere

d for a loan.

4. 1000
The maximum loan amount is $1000. The interest rate is dependent on your credit score, usually between 10 and 16%

All applications for membership MUST contain the applicant’s Social Security or Taxpayer Identification Number. ICU is a financial institution that must follow Federal regulations which require a SSN or TIN to be attached to your account just like a bank or other credit union.

6. 5
It is expected that once you open an account, you will keep that account active with periodic deposits and/or withdrawals. If no activity occurs in an account for 5 years, the money in the account must be turned over to the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office.

There are those people for whom only a gift card will do. Christmas and other holidays at this time is a great time for our gift cards. At $3.50 per card they cost much less than the ones you find at kiosks in stores. They are not subject to the recent tampering and scams about which you may have heard. They can be loaded with amounts from $10 - $1000.
