Business Development Opportunity
Spafford Leasing Associates, Inc. is developing Spafford Municipal Leasing Group, LLC (in formation), an independently owned company focused exclusively on municipal equipment and vehicle financing.
We are seeking an experienced business-development professional or independent lease originator to expand relationships with municipalities, public agencies, equipment vendors and funding institutions.
The Opportunity
The selected individual will identify and develop financing opportunities involving:
• Ambulances and EMS equipment
• Fire apparatus and public-safety equipment
• Police vehicles
• Public-works trucks and heavy equipment
• Municipal technology and essential-use equipment
• Other vehicles and equipment used by cities, towns, fire districts and public agencies
Responsibilities may include developing relationships, identifying projects, coordinating municipal and vendor introductions, gathering transaction information and supporting opportunities through funding and closing.
Ideal Background
We welcome professionals with experience or established relationships in:
• Municipal or public finance
• Equipment leasing and financing
• Commercial or community banking
• Fire, EMS and public safety
• Municipal government and procurement
• Equipment and vehicle sales
• Business development and transaction origination
Retired or near retirement or transitioning professionals with strong municipal, banking, vendor or public-safety relationships are encouraged to inquire.
Compensation and Structure
The role is initially expected to be structured as an independent business-development or transaction-origination position, with compensation based on mutually agreed terms.
