1:30pm
Online banking is now back up and running! We are still open until 4pm today.
Thank you!
11:30am
WE ARE OPEN! Both branches lobbies, drive through lanes, and phone lines are open until 4pm today.
Please bear with us as some debit card transactions that occurred during the outage are still pending to post. ACH and Share Draft files have posted for the days we have been out as well with a few exceptions that we are still working on.
Online banking will still be down for a while as getting the core operating system has been the main focus.
Thank you all!
8:30am
We have finally been in contact with Sharetec and are working through the validation processes for our system now. We have staff onsite to open our doors in both branches as soon as the validation process is complete and it is safe to go live. We plan on being open until 4pm today. We will update as soon as we get the green light to open.
Online banking is still going to be down as the priority is the core operating systems.
Thank you all. We look forward to being able to work for you again soon!

4:30pm UPDATE
The core technology provider is still saying that they are going to be contacting us by midnight tonight to bring us back online. There is no guarantee this will happen but we remain hopeful and available to complete the necessary processes if it is the case.
In the event we do get brought back up tonight, we are considering being open tomorrow (Saturday 9/19) to assist members with transactions, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, etc.
We will provide an update as soon as possible if this is the case.
Once again, we thank each and every one of you for your continued patience and understanding. Please see the following post for more information on how this outage happened.
9:00am UPDATE
Operating systems are still down. Our lobbies are closed but phone lines and drive through lanes remain open.
The last update we received from Sharetec, the core technology provider, is that they guaranteed every credit union that is still down will receive a call from their technical support teams today. There is no scheduled ETA of when the call will happen. This is the most encouraging notification we have received so far.
To reiterate, this is not a data breach or security issue. This is a system failure.
Finally, We want to express our deepest sympathies to all of our members. We know you are frustrated and want progress. So do we. There are many emotions we are all feeling right now and we want to acknowledge those. Words cannot express how much we care about our members and we hope to prove that to you all through this difficult situation. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will get through this.

2:30pm UPDATE
Operating systems are still down for Peoples Credit Union. The last update we received is that the core technology providers have restored over 50% of credit unions that were affected by the system outage. They are having to do these restorations on a one by one basis. We are waiting with fingers crossed that we will be getting restored soon. We will provide updates as soon as we get them. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.
8am UPDATE
Our operating systems are still down. The core technology providers have brought other credit unions back up and we are patiently waiting to be brought up as well.
We are currently operating with limited staff so our lobby doors are closed but drive through lanes and phone lines remain open. We hear your frustrations and we feel them too.
Thank you for your continued patience. We will get through this.

4pm UPDATE
Unfortunately the status has not changed and we are still down. We extend our deepest apologies to our members. We assure you they are working around the clock to fix this issue. We continue to thank you for your understanding during this time.
10:15am UPDATE
The Credit Union’s core technology provider is experiencing a service disruption related to a cooling failure at the third-party data center that hosts its systems. This is a service availability issue, not a security incident. There has been no data breach or unauthorized access to member data identified.
They are working around the clock to restore services. Some services, including online and mobile banking, debit card transactions, and other services that rely on the affected environment, may be unavailable or limited until service is restored.
8:00 am
Our Core Processor is still down. They have located the issue and are working on restoring each individual Credit Union. This may take some time so please be patient. We know our members are frustrated as are we. Thank you for understanding.
