Area Median Incomes (AMI) changed on Friday. Some up. Some down a good amount. Around us in Greene, Christian, Polk Webster, Dallas Counties in Missouri, it's 100% AMI is now $90,100/year. Most DPA programs allow you to make up to $72k. Mine will go to 140% AMI—so $126,140 per year! Much better. Get Down Payment Assistance on homes up to nearly $600k!

The elevated income limit is what makes this program stand out. It opens the door for many buyers who earn too much for most DPA programs, but still don't want to drain their savings to buy a home. It's handled through an interest-only second mortgage at the same rate as your main mortgage.
