Review these 3 things:
1. Your prescriptions
2. Your doctors
3. Your current plan costs

Before Medicare Open Enrollment begins, take a few minutes to look at what you actually need from your coverage.

Start with your prescriptions. Are they still covered by your plan?
Then look at your doctors and preferred healthcare providers. Will they still be in your plan’s network next year?

Finally, review your plan’s costs and benefits for 2027.

Your current plan may still be a great fit—but reviewing it now can help you make a more informed decision before Open Enrollment ends on December 7. Medicare specifically recommends reviewing your Annual Notice of Change and Evidence of Coverage for changes to your plan.

Medicare Open Enrollment gives people with Medicare an opportunity to make certain changes to their health and prescription drug coverage.

Depending on your current coverage, this can include:

• Switching Medicare Advantage plans
• Joining or dropping a Medicare Advantage plan
• Switching between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage
• Joining, dropping, or switching a Medicare prescription drug plan

Changes made during Open Enrollment generally take effect January 1.
