If your vehicle was declared a total loss as a result of the recent hail storm and you’ve already purchased a replacement vehicle, be sure to keep a copy of your insurance company’s total loss settlement paperwork.

When you register your replacement vehicle, this documentation may allow you to receive a sales tax credit, which could save you both time and money. Bringing the paperwork with you when you visit the license office may help avoid the need for a second trip.
