Yesterday, a lady walked into our Springfield office feeling completely defeated.

She had been shopping around for insurance, and everywhere she turned, the rates were significantly higher than what she had been paying in Ohio. To make matters worse, yesterday was her only day off, and she was just trying to get everything taken care of.

I could tell how frustrated she was, so instead of having her wait around for quotes, I started shopping our carriers while she was sitting right there.

And guess what?! We were able to get her vehicle and fifth wheel insured through GEICO and Progressive AND save her money! 🙌

But my favorite part wasn’t even saving her money. It was the hug she gave me before leaving because she was so relieved.

It’s little moments like this that remind me why I love what I do. Insurance can be frustrating, especially when you’re already overwhelmed. Being able to take that stress off someone’s shoulders and give them a little peace of mind is such a rewarding feeling.

Sometimes it’s about so much more than just writing an insurance policy. 🥹

Friday I made enchilada soup for us at the office and it was SO good! 😋🥣

Now that we’re getting closer to soup season, I think office soup days might have to become a regular thing around here. Insurance by day, soup kitchen by Friday 😂

At this rate, we may need to create an office soup menu! Who wants the recipe?! 👀

Today I had the opportunity to attend the State of the County Luncheon, and the Effingham Chamber did an incredible job putting everything together!

I learned so much about what goes on behind the scenes in our county. SPLOST was a big topic, and it was really interesting hearing about the projects happening throughout Effingham. Road improvements, updates to our public parks, the animal shelter, and so much more.

I love getting to learn more about what is happening right here in the community where I live AND work. It’s always encouraging to hear about the plans being put into motion and the thought that goes into the future of Effingham County. 🤍

Grateful for opportunities like this to stay involved, learn, and support the community around me!
