Hi, I'm back again. Thank you for the likes and the few followers. I hope I don't disappoint anyone. It's been a pretty slow week. I am currently staining decks with my son in law and with all the rain I haven't really been able to work. It's really hot dirty work. I am considering finding another job at the moment. The problem is I really don't know what I wanted to do. But I will get into that later. Back to my story.
The ex left on Halloween of 1988. I was going to school at the time. I came home from school and about half of everything we owned was gone! About half my Tupperware, which was not his, the TV (it was one of those big console TV's and had all of my Elvis Album's in it. The TV was his but not the albums!), the microwave, all my fishing equipment and the only car we owned . All gone! When I sat the kids down to tell them, they were 6, 4 and 3 at the time, all they asked was why did he take the TV, VCR and Microwave. Kids! You never know what is going to come out of their mouths!
My kids had been in daycare which I could not afford anymore since the ex left, so I found another job with a bank as a data entry clerk 8 to 5, then left straight from there and went to school from 6 to 10 pm. As I said in my previous post had it not been for my parents I would not have made it through. My parents got my children on the bus in the morning, fed them supper and put them to bed at night. We actually moved back in with them and the four of us slept in one room. Fun times! I did not see my children except after they were asleep at night and on the weekends for an entire year.

It was a pretty lonely year for me. My youngest brother and I went in together and bought a Nissan because he was going to school with me. He wanted to get into the IT side of it. I will say that he was able to get a job in the field he wanted which is a plus for the school. We both should have taken the money spent at that school and found something different to do. Again anything you decide to do make sure you research it fully.

I hate to admit it but I kinda went off the deep end that year. Keep in mind that I was 26, married and divorced with three small children. And my brother will not like this but he was a bad influence :-) Not really I was the older of us and I should have known better but I went from living with my parents to living with my husband and raising babies. I didn't have much of a chance to do anything really stupid in my teens and early twenties, so like the brilliant woman I was then I made up for lost time!!
My mom kept telling me that I needed to find a new husband, I kept telling her that I did not need anybody to take care of me, I could do it by myself. Conveniently forgetting that I was living in her house, with three children and her and my dad were basically raising my children! Some appreciation I showed them right? I was pretty bad. There were a couple of times my brother and I skipped school and went to a bar. Like I said, not my best years. I did however in that time have a few “boyfriends” none of which were really decent people. I made some bad choices and heartily regret a lot of them

There are a few years that I am skipping if there is enough interest in this blog I may regress and tell some of the earlier stories, but since this is my search for financial freedom I thought I would leave the nitty gritty out for now.
I am going to pause the story here and will pick it up again next week. Until then be blessed and stay safe. :-)
