The residential battery market has entered a new financial reality.
The 30% Residential Clean Energy Credit, which included qualified battery storage, is no longer available for properties placed in service after December 31, 2025.
The demand for greater energy resilience remains, but the way homeowners evaluate and afford these projects is changing. Without the federal credit reducing the initial cost, accessible financing becomes an even more important part of the conversation.
In the post-incentive market, the ability to offer manageable payment options may help determine which projects move forward.
