So you got into an accident and you only have state minimum liability limits..now what?
I get it. You were trying to save a few dollars a month, so you went with the agency that got you the best rate but they only gave you state minimum liability limits. You got into an accident because the person in front of you slammed on their breaks. Except it wasn’t just one person in front of you - it was a whole family. They’ve all got injuries that resulted in a hospital visit and now they are suing you for damages.
The damages resulted in $250,000 but your state minimum liability limits only cover $50,000 per accident. Now you’re on the hook for the additional $200,000 not covered by your auto insurance.
Let me ask you this - would you rather save a few dollars a month and go with state minimum coverage or are you going to pay a little more to get better coverage? I know I say this often but it’s not just your rates that matter - your coverage matters.
