🚨 Kansas Drivers: Check Your License Plate! 🚨
A new Kansas law (Senate Bill 403) is now in effect and changes the requirements for displaying your vehicle's license plate.
Under the new law, nothing may obstruct or cover any of the following on your license plate:
✅ The license plate number
✅ The word "Kansas"
✅ The registration decal
✅ The expiration month
If you have a license plate frame or cover, take a moment to make sure all required information is clearly visible and legible.
⚠️ During the first six months of the law, law enforcement officers may issue warnings for violations. After the warning period, violations may result in enforcement action as allowed by Kansas law.
A quick inspection now can help you avoid unnecessary traffic stops. Thank you for doing your part to keep Kansas roadways safe and ensure your vehicle remains in compliance with state law.
