Recent storms have brought out the Storm Chaser Roofers & Contractors. Please Remember these rules before talking to any of them.
1. Call and speak to your Insurance Agent
FIRST to discuss your policy deductible, limits and the damage you have. Most agents will come out to look at the damage and discuss the options with you.
2. Do your due diligence. Reputable
Roofer/Contractors will never go door to door. Research before you hire anyone.
3. DO NOT sign anything they give you. DO NOT let them call your insurance company or claims dept for you.
4. If they don't provide you with a permit to solicit, call the police. It is illegal to solicit without one in many communities.
