I am the second oldest (oldest son) of seven siblings. My father is a retired District Court Judge and my youngest brother, Mark, a retired County Commissioner. I grew up always being involved in and interested in the issues that challenge and shape this great city of ours. I continue to do so, sitting for my fourth term on the Spokane Realtor Associations Board of Directors, as well as, numerous
other committees. I was blessed in my younger years to not only play many sports, but coached many of my son, Patrick, and daughter, Marissa's, sports teams. My family also includes my other daughter Margit and her two sons George and Jon, and my second son Travis. Music has always been a passion of mine and I am blessed to have been a part of an A Capella Quartet, "Top Flite.” We have had a long run of singing at local venues including four times as the headline guest artists with the Spokane Jazz Orchestra shows at the Met. Truly great memories I will savor forever. Prior to getting my Real Estate License in 1988, I owned and operated Rick's Landscaping for 15 years. This allowed me to employee 75+ people throughout the years. It also allotted me the opportunity to explore my creative juices and to leave my mark on this town. Today when driving around town l see the mature landscapes I designed and installed in the 70's and 80's. I was a longtime member of "The Downtown Optimist Club" and am currently a 12+ year member of Executive Women's International (EWI) of which I was one of the first male members. I have formed many lifelong friendships from these memberships. I am every nostalgic and I have enjoyed working on all of my class reunions for Ferris High School. I also went to Gonzaga Prep my first two years of high school and to Spokane Community College, Spokane Falls Community College and Eastern Washington University. I love people and cherish the many friends in my life. l can't think of a better profession, than Real Estate, that allows me to spend time with old friends, as well as form many new friendships. Having the chance to help others accomplish the homeownership dream is a big deal to me and I take it seriously. Having been a Realtor since 1988 has allowed me to hone my skills to a point that I am a good negotiator and I get along well with all the other Realtors. Good relationships with other Realtors makes the difference between helping my clients achieve their dreams or not.
