In 2022, Nazeerah was struggling to make ends meet and didn't know where to turn. While searching for help, she discovered Canopy Credit Union.🌱
She wasn’t sure what to expect, but a single conversation changed everything.
Ashley, one of Canopy's financial coaches, took the time to understand her situation and explain her options. When Nazzy asked what ongoing financial coaching would cost, she was surprised to learn it was free.
She became a member that day.
With financial coaching, Nazzy paid down her car loan and watched her credit score rise. She saw money differently and realized her financial history didn't have to define her future. Nazzy finally had the freedom to dream of more. 🌱
She had always believed some of life’s most meaningful connections happen around a good meal. But she also saw an opportunity to make that experience more accessible to people with dietary restrictions.
In 2023, Nazzy launched Compassion Catering LLC. What started as a small service for those with dietary restrictions became a catering business.🍳
Today, Compassion Catering employs 15 people and gives back through meal donations, food drives, and community partnerships.
As her business has grown, she has continued giving back to her community and pursued financial coaching with Canopy. 🤝
Today, Nazzy’s credit is stronger, and she has her sights set on being debt-free within two years. She's learned debt isn’t the end of the story—it’s something she can face with a plan, patience, and the right people beside her. 💚
