This is such an inspirational story - this is a first year (grass roots) wrestling program that started with nothing - no coach(s), no money, no wrestlers. They had tremendous first year success, and are building the foundation for a future program that will have many years of success in the future! I’m glad that Wheatland Bank could be a small piece of the story!

LAKESIDE WRESTLING TEAM THANKS GENEROUS DONORS FOR INAUGURAL SEASON

Lakeside middle school and high school wrestling teams, having just concluded their inaugural seasons and wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the generous donors who have supported their programs this school year. Donations were raised to fund essential equipment such as wrestling mats, uniforms, and team headgear, ensuring that the team could compete safely and effectively. The team is immensely grateful for the contributions made by private parties solicited primarily by coach Jim Giulio and the Plummer-Worley School District administration. They have been spearheading fund-raising efforts for the past 9 months by appealing to colleagues and fans of the sport of wrestling throughout the area. As stated by one administrator, we took contributions from anyone “breathing” and “slightly interested in wrestling” when they gave to the Plummer-Worley School District. These donations drastically reduced the costs of implementation to the district, and we are thankful for their efforts.

Both the Lakeside Middle School wrestling team and the Lakeside High School wrestling team are immensely grateful for the personal contributions made by individuals for all of the equipment, but the biggest is yet to come. All wrestling teams are extremely excited about the delivery of a brand-new wrestling mat coming later this spring bearing the Lakeside Knights markings. When it arrives, we’ll post pictures here on Facebook of the new arrival. This mat will allow teams to host their own events starting next year.

At this time, the Lakeside Wrestling Team would like to specifically thank the following parties for their generous donation:

• Vince & Michelle Hughes
• Clarks Builders LLC
• Shaun McChesney
• Monty Giulio
• Dave Swift
• Wheatland Bank
• Brandon Quigley
• Greg Washington
• Sal Piazza
• Kevin Cloud
• One individual wishing to remain anonymous.

The team is also incredibly thankful and thrilled that North Idaho College donated one of their wrestling mats so teams could practice throughout their respective seasons. Thank you, Coach Derek Booth, and the NIC Cardinals.

Without these contributions, wrestling was not an option for the schools this year. We look forward to the 2024-25 season. Thank you to these contributors, fans and supporters of the program.

It's not as bad as it sounds!

Interest rates have a long and reliable history of reacting to the jobs report more than any other monthly economic data and the most recent example sent mortgage rates screaming higher at the fastest pace in over a year.

This past week brought the release of two housing reports that track the pace of home sales each month and they told distinctly different stories. Which one is telling the truth?

New guidelines allow buyers to put 5% down on 2-4 unit properties. The loan for a 4 unit property can be up to $1,396,800. This could be a great option for a home buyer who is interested in owning investment real estate at some stage of their lives also. The multi-unit properties must be owner-occupied. Conventional LLPAs (Loan Level Pricing Adjustments) for your clients above 100% of the Area Median Income (AMI) could be hurting their ability to qualify or find loan programs fit for a second home. Wheatland Bank has created a FIXED RATE PROGRAM that allows your clients to qualify for the lower rates AND eliminates LLPAs.

Owner-occupied homes up to 95% LTV
Second homes up to 90% LTV

We still love our First Time Homebuyers and we still allow most clients under 100% AMI to waive their LLPAs, but now your clients can buy that second home or move up knowing they are not paying those excessive LLPAs.

All of this from a local bank making local decisions for our communities.

Relationships you can count on.

If you have any questions on this program, call or text Brandon Quigley at (208) 818-1627.

Everyone wants a low rate, but there's more to it than just the rate.

Mortgage rates, for the purposes of this article, will refer to the most commonly-quoted loans available through the most prevalent channels.  That essentially means conforming, fixed rate loans—especially 30yr and 15yr fixed.  It’s not that other loan types aren’t affected by the same va...
