Today, Jack, Sara, Molly and Brady got out of the bank and onto the course for the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament!

Health insurance terms can be confusing but understanding them can help you avoid surprises when it’s time to use your coverage.

Copay = A fixed dollar amount you pay for a covered service.
Example: $25 for a doctor visit.

Coinsurance = A percentage of the cost you pay after you’ve met your deductible.
Example: If your coinsurance is 20% and the bill is $100, you pay $20 and your insurance pays $80.

Knowing the difference can help you better understand your health insurance plan and prepare for medical expenses.
