Today was bring your babies to work day!

We had a change of plans this week, Dwayne's surgery was postponed until September, so we are hard at work doing certifications and getting ready to serve our clients during the upcoming annual enrollment period!

Today we take a moment of reflection and recognize Juneteenth, which marks June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were informed of their freedom. More than two years AFTER the Emancipation Proclamation. We honor the history, resilience, and contributions of Black Americans and we encourage you to use this day for reflection, learning, and support of Black-led organizations and businesses.

Our new address is 187 N Church St. Suite 203 Spartanburg, SC 29306. Suite 203 is right beside the leasing office in the basement.

Here's a preview of what to expect on the Medicare Advantage side next year. Carriers will continue to reduce "extra" benefits. Plans and carriers will exit some markets. But that open up opportunity for other carriers to come in and gain market share.

Americans enrolled in Medicare Advantage health plans should expect to see fewer extra benefits like gym memberships and vision and dental coverage next ​year, investors and industry experts say.

Sorry we have been radio silent of late! We have been nonstop! Between the end of March with the market disruption in Spartanburg, our travels for Dwayne's doctor visits, and a much needed vacation before surgery, there hasn't been a lot of free time to post!

We wanted to take a moment to let our Tharpe Insurance Services, LLC family know that we are alive and well, and full speed ahead. Soon it will be time for us to go through our annual training cycle learning about all the changes for 2027, and getting ready to help our clients navigate those changes.

One thing in health insurance that doesn't change? Dana Tharpe and Dwayne Tharpe working hard to make sure we find the right fit for our clients!

Last night we were honored to be part of the 8th Annual Spring Fundraiser for Carolina Adaptive Golf. Thanks to our friends Mike and Maggie, Josh Nadeau, and our son Orlando Hess-tharpe for spending the evening with us and raising money for a great local charity.

It was a great time and a super fun event!
