Eighteen years ago, in the quiet of the early morning, your dad and I drove to the hospital—excited, nervous, and so ready to meet you. That was the day we became parents, and what an incredible gift it has been ever since.
Today, your’re 18. It’s hard to believe how quickly the years have flown, but what a joy it has been to watch you grow into the young man you are now. You are a young man who leads with faith, kindness, compassion, and strength. You are smart, caring, athletic, and (yes!) so very handsome.
You’ve become a role model—not only to your brother, but to anyone lucky enough to call you a friend. You truly have the world by the coattails, and we can’t wait to see all the ways you’ll make your mark on this world. We are beyond proud of you, and so grateful to be your parents.
