Carter Morse & Goodrich is pleased to announce that Peter Costa has joined the firm as a Managing Director and will lead our Consumer industry vertical. In this role, he will leverage his 15+ years of M&A experience to drive transaction ex*****on and business development initiatives. Additionally, he will lead the opening of CMG’s new Providence, RI office.

Prior to joining CMG, Mr. Costa spent six years at Consensus, a Boston-based M&A advisory firm focused on consumer-facing companies, where he played key roles in building their consumer products practice. Earlier in his career, he worked in the transaction advisory services group at Kroll (Duff & Phelps) and at Deloitte. Peter holds an MBA from the University of Rhode Island, a Masters in Accounting from Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management and a BS in Political Science and Government from Davidson College. Mr. Costa currently holds his FINRA Series 63 and 79 securities licenses.

Peter currently lives in Barrington, RI with his wife and three daughters.

Since its founding in 1987, CMG has built a culture of engaging in the communities in which we work and live. Whether it is being on boards of meaningful charities, leading business associations, supporting community initiatives or coaching youth sports, giving back has always been a core tenant of CMG and all of our employees.

In 2021, we institutionalized this tradition by establishing and funding the Carter Morse & Goodrich Charitable Foundation. The mission a charitable foundation to support organizations that promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and professional development in the communities where we live and work and help individuals attain economic independence and entrepreneurial success by unlocking the full potential of each person and encourage self-improvement.

Since its founding, the CMG Foundation has donated more than $100,000 to several worthwhile charities in our area, and we look forward to continuing this tradition going forward.
