A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to sit down with Art Mulligan and Sara Lynn Leavenworth of Senior Advocate Services, and I walked away really impressed—not just with their business, but with the people behind it.
They’ve built something pretty unique. Senior Advocate Services is a boutique elder care consulting firm that helps older adults and their families navigate some of the decisions that can feel incredibly overwhelming—care planning, medical appointments, transitions, senior living, in-home care, and coordinating the many healthcare, legal, and financial pieces that can come with aging. They’re not a placement agency; they truly serve as a trusted partner and advocate for the family.
What I appreciated most about Art and Sara Lynn is their heart for the people they serve. When a family is trying to make decisions for Mom or Dad, sometimes what they need most is someone they trust sitting beside them, helping them understand their options and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
In my business, I’ve always believed that surrounding our clients with **trusted advisors** is incredibly important. None of us can—or should—try to be everything to everybody. The real value comes from knowing good people in different areas who care about doing the right thing and putting families first.
I’m very happy to have Art and Sara Lynn in that circle of trusted advisors.
If you’re helping an aging parent, trying to keep a loved one safely at home, or simply aren’t sure what the next step should be, Senior Advocate Services is a wonderful resource to know about. Sometimes the first and most important step is simply having a conversation.
