In 2018, Shawn Mauro and Zack sat down for breakfast at Mauro’s Village Cafe.⁣

The restaurant opened in 1946. For Shawn, Zack, and many others, the restaurant was their first “real” job. ⁣
⁣
Zack lasted a few weeks as a dishwasher. ⁣
Shawn did a better job as a cashier. ⁣
⁣
