I love seeing growth like this in Olive Branch… not just bigger, but better.

I also love seeing community spaces popping up across DeSoto County. Investment in education creates real opportunity for families and homeowners.

This is the kind of place people don’t just move to… they put down roots.

I’m excited to share that the DeSoto County Schools application for the new Career Tech East facility has been approved by the Olive Branch Planning Commission. The campus will be constructed on Craft Road, just north of Church Road—see the rendering below for a preview of what’s coming. Thank you DeSoto County School Board and Superintendent Cory Uselton.

Even better, the site will be located just west of the Olive Branch Soccer Fields at the George Harrison Soccer Complex and Lick Creek Conservancy. Construction is already underway on a wide walking and biking trail connecting the new soccer complex west to Ross Road South, with future plans to extend east to Craft Road and north to the Career Tech East campus—creating a fully connected corridor for recreation and access.

The Career Tech East facility itself will feature modern classrooms, tennis courts, and a track. We are also actively working to attract a college or university partner to locate adjacent to the site, opening the door for high school juniors and seniors to pursue career-focused training alongside collegiate-level coursework.

This kind of thoughtful, connected development—anchored by the 48-acre Lick Creek green space and surrounded by educational opportunities—will have a lasting, generational impact on Olive Branch.
