Less competition: The heavy spring and early summer rush slows down, meaning fewer bidding wars.

Motivated sellers: Homeowners whose properties have lingered on the market may lower their prices or offer concessions before fall.

Good inventory: You still benefit from a wide selection of leftover summer listings before the market shrinks in the winter.
