What You Think You Know About Medicare… But Don’t 👀”

Here are a few things many people get wrong:
❌ Wrong: “Medicare is free.”
âś… Truth: Most people get Part A premium-free, but Part B, Part D, and many supplemental plans all have monthly costs.
❌ Wrong: “Medicare covers everything.”
✅ Truth: It doesn’t cover long-term care, most dental, vision, or hearing services unless you have additional coverage.
❌ Wrong: “I’ll be automatically enrolled at 65.”
✅ Truth: You’re only auto-enrolled if you’re already receiving Social Security. Otherwise, you must sign up yourself to avoid penalties.
❌ Wrong: “I can change my plan anytime.”
✅ Truth: You usually need to wait for an enrollment period—like the Annual Enrollment Period (Oct 15–Dec 7).
