Please join us in welcoming Coleman Bales to Guild Mortgage!

Coleman is a proud JMU Class of 2020 graduate and has been in the mortgage industry ever since. He works with a wide range of clients, from first-time homebuyers to repeat buyers and seasoned real estate investors.

His clients value his responsiveness, product knowledge, and ability to think creatively when structuring loans. Coleman has experience with Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, DSCR, and other Non-QM loan programs.

Real estate is also personal for Coleman. He grew up around residential real estate and is an investor himself, giving him a firsthand understanding of the opportunities and challenges investors face.

Originally from Wi******er, Virginia, Coleman now lives in Arlington. Outside of work, he has played guitar since he was eight years old and is a big fan of classic rock. He also enjoys taking his BMW M2 to the racetrack and playing golf — although he will be the first to admit there is still some room for improvement.

Darien brings years of mortgage experience and a passion for serving others, developing Loan Officers, and building something special in the Wilmington, NC market.

At the center of everything Darien does is his faith and his family. He and his wife are raising three kids — along with a Bernese Mountain Dog, six chickens, and four ducks! When he’s not helping clients or supporting his team, you’ll probably find him spending time with family, working out, powerlifting, or doing CrossFit.

Darien is excited to build a strong Guild presence in Wilmington and to pour into other Loan Officers as they grow both personally and professionally. We’re thrilled to have you with us, Darien.

JD joins us as a Senior Loan Officer with 14 years of experience in the mortgage industry. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for putting clients first, providing exceptional service, and making sure everyone involved in the process is well taken care of. One of JDs greatest passions is training and mentoring, helping others grow and succeed while sharing his knowledge and experience.

When he's not helping clients achieve their homeownership goals, JD is exploring the world. He’s visited an incredible 72 countries, traveled to all 7 continents, and is always ready with a great travel story. And if that isn't impressive enough, he also boasts a pretty legendary collection of ugly holiday sweaters!

Welcome John Dolbec to Guild Mortgage!

John is well-respected in the New England community with a high work ethic, attention to detail, and "put the customer-first" mentality. He's served as a director, board member, and committee lead with the RI Mortgage Bankers Association. John's been recognized as a Bronze Partner on RI Housing’s Top Producing Loan Officer list, and a top 1% producer on the Scotsman Guide.

Before his lending career, John served aboard the fast attack submarine, USS Springfield, which instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and commitment. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management with a concentration in International Business from Johnson and Wales University. Outside of his professional life, John enjoys cooking, hiking, and golfing. He also volunteers with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Amos House, reflecting his passion for community service.
