Two words worth asking about: waiting period.
Some final expense policies pay the full benefit from the very first day. Others pay it after a set period — often two years — and until then, they return the premiums that were paid.
Neither one is a trick. They’re two different structures, and which one you’re offered comes down to a short set of health questions answered over the phone.
What matters is knowing which one is in front of you. If a policy has a waiting period, that should be said out loud, in one sentence, before anyone signs. So ask — our licensed agents will tell you either way.
