Last week, I had the opportunity to taste some excellent wines from Lebanon. In addition to the French varietals, Lebanon also have indigenous varieties. One of the best is a refreshing wine wine, Obeideh.

My two favorite wines were Chateau Cana Jardin Secret (Sabbaghieh grape) and Chateau St.Thomas, 2014. (Merlot, Cabernet, Syrah). It was stunning.

At Aspen Food and Wine, I attended two seminars conducted by Ray Isle, Executive Editor of Food and Wine Magazine. One class was pairing wine with potato chips.
Ray is holding a bottle of Lustau East India Solera Sherry, which was paired with Smoked Gouda potato chips. I also liked the pairing of Sauvignon Blanc and Salt and Vinegar chips. My favorite pairing was BBQ chips with Zinfandel.

Do you drool on your pillow at night? According to Andrew Latta, owner and winemaker at Latta Wines, if you drool at night, you are a “Super Salivater.” These people handle tannins better than others because salivating rinses away tannins lingering in your mouth.

Today is the day that most people give up on their New Year’s resolutions. If your resolution is to take control of your money, now is the time to double down on your commitment.

This process is not a sprint, but a marathon. I have been working at managing my money for over 30 years now.

Your progress not only effects your finances, but your health and your relationships also can improve.

Continue to work on improving your finances. Start with small changes and celebrate your successes. Remember to automate your money tasks when you can.
