The Teaching Profession has changed significantly over many years. Teaching was more of a calling in the 1800’s & early 1900’s. Much like a Minister, unlike today they did not have a Union, a Pension, and often little or no pay, especially in the Rural areas.
In fact they often lived with one of the Farm Families in the community with just room and board as payment.
As I grew up in the 40’s and 50’s we had the utmost respect for our teachers and respected the rules or suffered the consequences.
But today, neither the parents, nor the students seem to acknowledge the rules or respect them.
I worry that people in general are no longer respecting their God, Their Pears, or the rules of their country and certainly not the Ten Commandments.😳Shame on Us.🫤
