New England homeowners — do you know your wind/hail deductible? 🏠🌧️

A lot of people assume their deductible is something like $1,000 or $2,500.

But on some homeowners policies, the wind/hail deductible is a percentage, not a flat dollar amount.

That means if your home is insured for $660,000 and your wind/hail deductible is 3%, your out-of-pocket responsibility could be:

$19,800

Yes — really.

With weather rolling in, now is a good time to pull out your homeowners policy and check:

* Is your wind/hail deductible a percentage or a flat dollar amount?
* What is your Coverage A / Dwelling limit?

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month 💙

Life insurance isn’t always the most comfortable thing to talk about, but it’s one of the most important conversations we can have.

If someone depends on your income, shares a mortgage with you, is raising a family with you, or would be left handling your expenses if something happened—you should at least know what your options are.

And life insurance doesn’t have to be complicated or outrageously expensive. My job is to help you understand the different types of coverage, figure out what actually makes sense for your life and budget, and answer the questions you may have been putting off.

If you already have coverage, I’m happy to review it with you. If you don’t, September is a pretty good reminder to start the conversation.
