IMPORTANT NEWS FROM THE CENTER FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT
The Center for Rural Development Disaster Recovery Center is open and hosting a ton of different organizations that can lend assistance to families affected by the recent tornadoes.
Resources currently available include:
* State of Kentucky
* American Red Cross
* Food Stamps
* Small Business Administration (SBA) for homeowners as well as business loans
* The Salvation Army
* FEMA
* Social Security
* Congressman Hal Rogers Mobile Office
* The VA has an RV set up in the parking lot. They will only stay as long as there are veterans who come to see them. They can assist with all aspects of veterans affairs paperwork, etc.
* The USDA has dropped off flyers in case any farmers need help with rebuilding their farms that got damaged.
* The UAW dropped off a sign-up sheet for any of its members who need assistance.
* Vital Records will be at The Center today to obtain documents such as Birth Certificates, Marriage Licenses, Adoption paperwork, etc. They will sit at the table next to Social Security, who is doing a lot of the same thing with finding lost documents for people.
