INTEGRA VISTAS APARTMENT FIRE:
We’re hearing from more families who were among the 70 people displaced after a lightning strike caused a building at Integra Vistas to catch fire.
Angela Thapetta and her family lived in a first-floor apartment. She is currently 20 weeks pregnant and recounted the terrifying moments the lightning struck their building. Her autistic son, Isaac, was watching TV inside, while her husband was out of town. Despite being 20 weeks pregnant, Angela says adrenaline took over, allowing her to safely escape with her son.

Angela says they believed they had renters insurance through the apartment. However, she later learned it only covered the apartment’s liability waiver during the leasing period—not their personal belongings.
